Chef and founder Jamie Miller came to R+W with big aspirations to expand his reach, grow his market share, and challenge his competitors to do better.

Our process of Truth & Beauty revealed a brand strategy steeped in joy, doing good, and integrity—a sassy, sunny, soulful essence centered around good times and accessibility. Through this lens, the need for a new name emerged. An inclusive, future-focused name that would allow for an expanded product line beyond taco seasoning and lend a deeper personal connection. Thus, Bard & Bellom Organic Spice Co. was born.

We designed the brand’s identity system to feel nostalgic, gritty, inviting, and daring. Reminiscent of a Fear & Loathing fever dream, with its sun-washed southwestern vibe, vibrant contrasting color combinations, and mirages of snakes, flamingos, motorcycles, campfires, and palm trees dancing across the desert landscape. Hand-carved styling in the logo and typography connect to the small-batch, hand-crafted nature of Jamie’s products.

This brand transformation also included messaging, launch communications, as well as a refreshed website, stickers, stamps, and of course, swag!
